Job Description

 

Overview of the role  

You will be working to support our engagement leads in the delivery of consultancy services, bringing to bear your service management expertise, as appropriate.

The role requires good stakeholder management skills, enjoying being part of a team while being happy to work autonomously where required. You will be presented with opportunities to learn from the more senior team members around you and will play an active role in supporting them such as helping to create client reports and other deliverables.

The primary focus for the role will be supporting our client engagements, however there may also be activities required to support the running and development of our business.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to

 

  • Supporting our engagement leads in managing our client delivery projects; examples include:

    • Creating status reports,

    • Setting up workshops,

    • Managing project plans (e.g. liaising with team members to track the completion of activities against a plan)

    • Capturing meeting minutes and actions,

    • and chairing team meetings;

  • Supporting our engagement leads in the creation of client deliverables; examples could include:

    • Visio process flow diagrams,

    • Word documents,

    • Project plans,

    • Excel-based financial models to inform client business cases,

    • PowerPoint presentations etc.

  • Supporting the management team with sales and internal processes, as required, such as:

    • Helping to create sales documentation e.g. Proposals and Statements of Work;

    • Creating documentation required for the business e.g. job descriptions or delivery methodology documentation;

    • Helping to track internal and client projects e.g. days used against days procured by clients;

Key Technical Skills

 

We are looking for someone who has some, but not necessarily all of the following:

 

  • Experience in a Consulting environment;

  • Experience in an operational Service Management role;

  • Awareness of ITIL, this may include ITIL qualifications or experience working within ITIL process delivery;

  • Awareness of IT organisations, this could be consultancy within the IT space or having worked within an IT delivery team;

  • Confident use of MS Office suite including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and MS Project;

  • Experience in managing stakeholders;

  • Analytical skills;

  • An awareness of Project Management methods, this may be through training and qualifications or practical experience within project delivery teams;

  • Process design experience

 

Key Soft Skills required, including but not limited to

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;

  • Self-starter and highly motivated;

  • Proactive and takes initiative;

  • Excellent organisation skills;

  • An appetite to learn and to get involved in a variety of activities to support our client delivery and internal operations;

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;

  • Analytical and logical;

  • Able to work alone and within a team;

  • Good at working with a variety of stakeholders;

  • Creative in problem-solving;

  • An awareness of their own strengths and knowledge gaps;

  • Willing to ask for help as and when its required, allowing us to support you and ensuring that we are collectively delivering a good service to our clients.
