Job description

Overview of the role:

The Role of the SI is to support the client with complex Technical projects to ensure there is a continual flow of progression.

Almost all IT/Telco companies have multiple touchpoints within a Project lifecycle (client internal, vendors & partners) with this also being compounded by teams being based both on/offshore.

With this as the scenario the SI will bridge the gaps between these multiple teams across 3 key areas Technical, Project & Delivery.

Key tasks and responsibilities, include but not limited to:

  • Support the delivery of complex Technology projects across teams & resources in multiple geographies, within agreed time, cost & quality constraints
  • Acting as a driving force to move projects through the project lifecycle, ensuring a continual flow of progression in fast paced environments where dependencies & issues are a common occurrence
  • Serving as the primary contact for the customer on the project
  • Working closely with Client Service Readiness team with the transition of deploying the Technical solution into the live environment and handover to support
  • Ensuring that all Project documentation such as Designs, Guides, Test Plans & Test Exit Reports are reviewed/approved by key stakeholders
  • Risk management, ensuring strategies are in place to mitigate risks
  • Facilitate project steering meetings & communicate with senior leadership & project stakeholders
  • Responsible for transparent, accurate reporting
  • Responsible for chairing meetings, capturing minutes & managing actions across all workstreams as required

Key Technical Skills required, include but not limited to:

  • Proven experience of delivering complex Technical projects to successful completion through end to end project lifecycle
  • Familiarity of working in a dynamic project environment where priorities may change frequently
  • Experience of working in a globally distributed team environment, having to liaise with multiple touchpoints for both client & 3rd parties
  • Technical background - Previous experience in design, testing or operations in the domain related to the project
  • Willingness to evolve into various Technical project environments
  • Develop strong relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Exposure to pre-sales activities

  • Conscientiousness
  • Adaptable self-starter with strong analytic skills who can communicate well in a small team when under pressure and working on multiple projects
  • Organised individual with good customer facing skills/attributes
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, inspire and knowledge share with your colleagues
